1964 Chevrolet Impala SS

Aka Project Beauty ‘Pala. By far my longest running project, the ’64 SS lowrider finally promises to be completed in 2017 after years of gathering dust. The car came from an Oklahoma salvage yard, via Carlisle, sans its 327 V8 engine and gearbox. In 2008 the body was bare metalled and painted, with the addition of custom hand pinstriping and gold-leafing.

Being a lowrider the chassis has been completely armour plated with 6mm steel sheet, and painted white with gold metalflake in preparation for the four-pump hydraulic suspension. Being reassembled by Arrow Vintage Cars in Essex as we speak. For more coverage grab a copy of Classic American magazine. I blame watching Boyz N The Hood back in ’91 at my friend Tom’s house. My biggest, most glorious money pit yet.
